PRE-SCHOOL STORYHOUR !!

All parents, grandparents, and caregivers of children ages 3-6 are invited to attend our Friday StoryHour programs.  The program is held in the StoryHour room in the library basement and is offered every Friday that public school is in session.  Please note the new starting times of 10:15 and 11:15.  This is a free program open to everyone.

Just what is a StoryHour?

***We start off by gathering in the StoryHour Room/Area and putting on our name tags.

***We gather in a circle and sing "Ring-Around-the-Rosie" or some other song.

***We gather around the Storyteller/Reader to hear a story.

***We talk about the week's topic and listen to a storybook.

***We construct a simple craft out of everyday materials

Parental help is encouraged, especially for cutting and gluing.

***We play a game or do some other activity.

***If time permits, we have another story, sing a song or another activity.

***Then it's snack time! Provided by parents on a voluntary basis.

***Parents and children are encouraged to check out materials in the Children's Room before or after each program -- or just socialize!!
